Fresh and playful with a distinct mid-century aesthetic, each of our 70 rooms is fitted with a comfortable bed, a bathroom with rain shower, oak parquet with floor heating and original vintage furniture. Some offer sweeping views deep into the Gastein valley, while others overlook the woody forest pines.
Bold shapes and pops of colour create a warm and inviting atmosphere – an ode to the modernist style of the 1960s and 70s. Shades of rich wine and bottle-green offset the original terrazzo floor, while local materials like oak and pine wood offer a timeless aesthetic.

FAQs
Is there a special design concept behind our rooms?
Yes – our interior design is inspired by the modernist style of the 1960s and '70s, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in every room. Deep wine and bottle-green tones, original terrazzo flooring, and plenty of local oak and pine wood give the rooms depth, tranquillity, and character.
What room categories and sizes are available at the cōmodo?
We offer a wide variety of room types, from cosy Mountain Rooms to stylish Studios and spacious Suites, each with its own look and feel. Room sizes range from the smart and compact 19-square-metre option to the really spacious 50-square-metre option, with a focus always on comfort, light and a harmonious sense of space.
Is smoking permitted in the hotel or in the rooms?
No – the cōmodo is a completely smoke-free establishment. Smoking is prohibited in all rooms, indoor areas and public spaces.
Is WiFi available free of charge throughout the hotel?
Yes, of course. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, including in the rooms, lobby and wellness area. Simply log in and start streaming, working or surfing the internet.
Are there family rooms at the cōmodo?
Yes, we have a variety of rooms that are perfect for families, from the Family Room for two adults and two children, to larger options such as the Comfy Valley Plus, the Mountain Suite and the Garden Suite, each of which accommodates two adults and one child.
Do the rooms have a balcony?
Rooms with a view of the Gastein Valley always have a balcony.
Are dogs allowed in the rooms?
Dogs are always welcome – just let us know when you make your booking so that we can reserve a suitable room for you. We charge a daily fee of €25 for your dog's stay. In return, your dog will be well looked after, with treats, a bowl and a cosy blanket provided. Please note: Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant or in the wellness and sauna area.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 3 p.m., and check-out is by 11 a.m. This gives you a relaxed start to your departure day.
Can extra beds or cots be provided?
Yes, that is possible. We provide a baby cot for €25 per day and an extra bed for €30 per day. Please indicate your request when booking so that we can check availability.
Are there special rooms for allergy sufferers?
We do not offer special allergy-friendly rooms. However, our rooms are equipped with allergy-friendly bedding.
